This is not just for grades 7-12! I teach Pre-K and I use it every week!
This is a great, free app that helps me stay in touch with my families. I recommend it for any grade level and it's so very easy to use. I love the fact that I can set up my messages in advance. It's also great to document parent communication for your administrator (you can get a print out of your messages). My only negative... I wish the individual messages could be a bit longer.

There is no reason not to Remind
The latest updates to the Remind website and application are making it hard for any high school teacher to justify not using it. With the ability to attach files, have students receive information, schedule messages, and now we can use stamps so that I can get interactive feedback from students and/or parents right away Remind has quickly become something that teachers should not go without.

Great for sending a quick reminder to students and parents.
Remind is a quick and easy way to text your students and parents. I really like the fact that both the teacher and student/parents phone numbers are kept confidential. My favorite Remind feature is the ability to schedule text messages. Being a busy teacher I rarely had time to sit down and compose a text when I thought about it. Using the scheduling feature I was able to schedule when my texts would go out. This helped save me a lot of time because I could schedule everything on a Friday and then have Remind send the message on a Sunday. What I also liked Using Remind helped my teaching by allowing me to send a once a week reminder that included important information. Plus it's free!

Awesome resource that keeps students and parents informed!
Overall, this is a great tool to use to hold students accountable for upcoming deadlines. I really like how it does not use the teacher's real phone number. Additionally, it is very nice that parents can subscribe to get updates from the teacher as well.
Remind is free to use, and the teacher can access it from any web browser. It is also an app that can be downloaded for a personal device.
If you are looking for a tool to reinforce organization and accountability among your students, Remind is a must have!

Reminding students and parents about important stuff in a quick and effective way has been brought to an entire new level!
Very effective tool that comes in handy when communicating with students and parents in a quick, effective, and no-cost way. I particularly enjoy the response from students and how much they appreciate the reminders on their smartphones. It is alos nice to see how this app can be integrated into popular LMSs such as Schoology, Edmodo, or Blackboard.

Great communication tool for teachers, students, and parents!
I find Remind to be a great tool for many reasons. Remind is completely free to use and is made specifically for teachers. Since it is made for teachers, your phone number is never compromised. An anonymous number is assigned for students and/or parents to use to subscribe to your class. Student and parent phone numbers are also kept confidential. All the teacher sees is a name. Another great aspect of this tool is the ability to schedule an alert to be sent at a later time. Reminders can be set up for later the same day or months in advance. There are also app versions available for Apple and Android users. I have had issues in the past using the app on my phone, but whatever bugs were causing the problem have recently been fixed. As someone who prefers attempting to use correct grammar, I find the 140 character maximum limiting. I have had to edit my messages numerous times to fit all of the information I need to send out. I have thought about using Remind for actual classes and not just for fundraising reminders but have decided against it because I believe it can enable students to become unorganized. I don't want my students to rely on a text alert system to know what they need to do for class or when they need to study for a test. I do like the ability of keeping parents and guardians in the loop about what is going on in the classroom and what they should expect from their children. All in all, Remind is a great tool and it does exactly what it was designed for!

Great way to communicate with students and parents
I like this because it is very easy to use and you can send the messages to your whole class or a group of students. The students will receive an email message or a text message depending on what they subscribed to. The only down fall is that you cannot send messages to individual students, it must be to at least three students or parents. It would be nice to use it to communicate with parents about how their students are doing in the classroom.

Wonderful way to keep students and parents updated; best feature is being able to schedule in advance.
I don't think this is a good teaching tool, but it certainly makes the business of the classroom easier. Kids and parents love it, and I think it's an amazing tool.
