Great site for student friendly poetry.
The site is useful to find poems to start a poetry unit and/or lesson. I'd like to see it add more features, such as biographical information on the poets or a community forum for people to share their thoughts on the poems. The site could also be improved by having an audio version of the poems. It's a useful site but limited in its scope.

A Poem a Day!
While this site offers a large variety of poems and it is very easy to navigate through it offers very little besides that. It doesn't offer any extensions or lessons to help support the poems. It is straight forward and just poems. In addition it would be difficult to assign students work on this site if they are ELL, Low Literacy or struggle in reading fluency and comprehension. It would be better if they offered audio for the poems.

My go-to site for contemporary, student friendly poetry.
Great site. Well organized and simple. The only thing that might make it better would be a tagging system to help organize poetry by theme in addition to chronology.

Great Resource for a Poetry Unit!
Each year as I begin a poetry unit, I find myself stumbling back across Poetry 180's website. It is a truly helpful resource that can be used year after year. This website is helpful for middle and high school ELA courses. Perhaps, supplemental resources that went along with the poem may help a teacher in her planning of a poetry unit.
