My students loved using this app to learn more about atoms and elements! This visuals provided the kind of support they need to wrap their mind around this complex, abstract, fascinating and essential topic! Atoms and elements are a critically important foundational topic!

The NOVA Elements app is much more than a simple periodic table. Besides showing the basic data, there are pictures, videos, and examples that allow students to 'see' the element in action. The entire Hunting the Elements video series is also included in the app. The most innovative aspect of this app is the build function, which allows learners to build animated models of each element. The only criticism would be that it takes up quite a bit of space which is often limited on mobile devices.
