I found this app to be highly beneficial for Pre-K and Kindergarten students. The videos are fun and engaging. Students want to watch them over and over. When the monsters run through the word and the letters go flying it's the students job to put each letter back in it's place. The letters are colorful and make the specific letter sounds when the student touches the letter to move it.

Love this app! Have used it with 3yr old EMD students as well as 2nd grade students who needed a little practice with vocabulary. I downloaded this app when it was free on App Gratis, but now it is $6.99. The price is well worth it as the app updates often with new words!

Specifically using with 4-6 years old right now. Recommend paying for the full alphabet for the best experience. Worth the $2.99

This product makes a great teaching tool because of its accessibility and way of drawing students into practicing letter sounds and building vocabulary. The students are eager to use the product because it is fun and uses interesting voices and adorable monsters to reiterate letter sounds. It can be used for additional practice of letter sounds, but shouldn't serve as an initial exposure to letter sounds. This app serves as supplemental learning tool, and I let students use it after they have learned their initial letter sounds. The app doesn't directly teach letter sounds, but it provides a way for students to practice letter sounds and match the sound with the letter image. It's also a fun way for students to learn new words and expand their vocabulary. My students' favorite word from the app tends to be gargantuan --what a fun word to hear from the mouths of kindergarteners!
