Fantastic treasure trove of ideas, simulations and hands on activities applying STEM concepts. Provides background information., real life application, hand outs and extensions. Materials needed are low cost.

Amazing design program for aspiring engineers! This was simple to set up and use and has many possible applications. I know my students will go home and use it on their own. It doesn't get better than that!

By emphasizing STEM, Design Squad Nation allows students to apply (abstract) content to (concrete) projects to make meaning! The interface can be a little confusing, but don't be frazzled by that. There is a plethora of hands-on resources that explain content in a very easy-to-understand way that my students love. Be sure to also click on the "teachers" link that takes you to a page where the interface is easier to navigate. On this page, you also see lesson plans that I myself have adapted and used.

Design Squad has wonderful project based learning experiences and design contests. It takes STEM classrooms to the next level!
