Brain Pop Jr. provides engaging, relevant, and meaningful resources for teachers and makes learning fun and interesting for students.
Overall, I have enjoyed this resource and will continue use. It is a wonderful "tool" to have in your "teaching tool kit." The supplemental materials provided are very useful - videos, printouts, and practice quizzes/activities. As a teacher, enjoyed most the fact that the quizzes provided my students immediate feedback for mastery purposes and my students enjoyed the fact that they could retake quizzes.

Brain Pop Jr. is a great resource of quick videos and interactive quizzes.
The videos are quick and get down to the basics of the topic. If the teacher is looking for a deeper understanding of a topic, then this website is not the answer. Quizzes are also a quick assessment for understanding of the basics of a topic.

My students love BrainPOP Jr. and use it to review or enrich their assignments.
I use this as a resource for students who need enrichment or review. My special education students use this between subjects. My students also have this as a resource when they finish early and can earn extra time on this as a reward.

Great tool to start kids learning!
Overall it is a great as a tool to introduce students to new concepts and for them to get a visual for what they are learning. It can't be used as your whole lesson and students can't watch a video and instantly know the subject materials. Be sure and click through the lesson ideas and activities link, they have some great ideas, but also some lackluster ideas, it would be great to let teachers rate the materials or provide their own additional materials. Also having links to external resources and websites with each video, that extend the learning from the video, would be awesome. My district pays for this product, I can't say I'd recommend an individual teacher to pay for this product, most of the features are available for free other places, just not with quite the same quality. You can find similar videos on YouTube, but BrainPOP videos are well produced and have some great use of vocabulary words. You can definitely find just as good activities and lesson plans other places. I do love that the videos sometimes have questions and pause for the teacher to pause the video and have a class discussion.
