Helpful supplemental tool, especially for down time
This website is hit or miss. If they have a video that addresses exactly what you're teaching, it's great. If not, they can sometimes be tangential. Be sure to watch the whole video! Sometimes the videos will go beyond a concept or address it below the level they should.
It's a great place for kids to go on and tinker their own, either as a reward or when they've completed work.

Brainpop is an fun and quick way to learn
Brainpop shows short video clips about various concepts. I like it because it has a section specifically for Arts and Music. The videos are informative, engaging, and entertaining. They even make me laugh sometimes. Questions are asked through letters mailed to a cartoon kid, and he answers them with a summary of the concepts involved. There is also a robot, which kids love, that asks questions. There are some free videos, but I think more teachers would use it if all the videos were free.

Wonderful educational site for across the board learning!
What a great way to introduce, reinforce, and enhance student learning! I'd say this site has been fun in covering topics many of my students but mainly for primary students. The videos, quizzes, and activities have been enjoyed for hours and hours throughout this school year. Its a wonderful "go to " whenever info is needed on a topic, at any stage of the instruction.
