My opinion is that it is a helpful teaching tool. I like the educational videos. I could seek direct correlation to my science and social studies standards and use it as a resource for thematic units. I really think the shows offer great lessons; whether it's informational facts about animals, etc. or lessons between characters and problem-solving strategies.

Has nice interactive games where children can have fun and learn while playing them. There are various kinds of games where children can learn different skills.

PBS Kids has something to support almost any elementary level lesson.

Overall, the PBS Kids is a good option for teachers. for some students, the options can be overwhelming, and they have difficulty making a choice of learning or game activities. For young, and non readers, the options are wonderful. For EC and some non readers, the videos are a happy choice for all. I find that older students and accomplished readers tend to opt for programs other than PBS Kids.

This is a great supplement to teaching . It is so easy to navigate and I won't have to worry about viruses or other online dangers for my kiddos. The games talk and explain how to play and come with a storyline. It is so relatable and I recommend it to all pre-k and k classrooms.

This project has not yet been put into motion, so evaluation is yet to come. As far as how it could serve my teaching better and my students, its from teaching ethic on this subject, to actually having an application to put them in motion, to the test, and for productive evaluation on a consistent basis.

I love this as a teaching tool. The students are familiar with the shows and their interest is peaked. The site is well laid out, easy to navigate, and offers enough that students are not easily bored. It promotes learning and reading through the majority of the activities. It even has a parent partner website that has more tools for parents and teachers to use.

like that i can use it for elementary school students

I don't use it to create curriculum. I use it as a safe way for my kids to explore on their own in a safe online environment and gain knowledge from their favorite characters/shows in the process.
