Minecraft education edition is a solution for the teachers who want to engage their students in the content in a meaniful and authentic way. Students love it, and most probably know how to use it more than us educators so don't worry about this.
I totally recommend this product to help the students with their liking content to real life.

Homework students will VOLUNTEER to complete at home.
I think this is a wonderful teaching tool with a seemingly endless number of applications. Students love the open-world concept of "vanilla" Minecraft, but also can have subjects like Reading, science, math, history and more bring about a level of understanding that other methods may not work as well or at all. Basic concepts for Programming can be used to build an interest in that field.
As varied as students are, so are the ways to use MEE or "vanilla Minecraft. Students can even reinforce this at home driven by their efforts and motivation.

Great for collaboration and teamwork!
I do like this teaching tool because of how it allows students to be creative in their own way and to learn problem solving if they can't figure something out. It can be used in moderation and be a great addition to the classroom.

Fun, but challenging!
I personally found the program to be quiet difficult to use and very frustrating. I can see why many students like it because it encourages creativity and there is a lot of freedom to be had when using it, but it took me to long to learn how to use the material. Even though I am not the biggest fan of the app, I would definitely use this with my students as a reward for completing their work or as a creative project.

Seems like a very flexible learning tool
This game seems like a very interactive way of teaching students many different lessons. There are many things that students can create and also many problems that students can learn how to solve. This game seems like it would grab their attention and they would be more interested in learning new things.

A highly engaging tool for students to facilitate learning, digital citizenship and future focused skills.
It is an excellent tool to add to the digital learning kit. Whilst it is still relatively a new product, Microsoft seem to be updating it regularly and there are numerous resources shared on their website by educators all around the world.
