Where does online information come from?

When students search online, they often stop at the first result they see. In this lesson, students will learn that search engines organize information in specific ways and that valuable information may require looking beyond the first result. Through a guided search activity about Humboldt penguins, students will discover how search summaries work, recognize different types of search results, and develop strategies for finding useful and interesting information.
