How to address violence in the news with your kids.
Use GeoGebra Geometry to get students constructing shapes, lines, and angles. Students can create free-form sketches with the shape recognition tool or use the numerous drawing tools to combine lines, arcs, and circles to create complex figures. Once shapes are created, students can measure the length or area, or observe transformations by rotating and mirroring. Available as a free app and on the web, the tool is easy for students to access for use with homework. Make sure to guide students to the Help button for support on using each drawing tool. When finished, students can share their screen with teachers directly from the app.
If you'd like a digital option to use during a test, try Exam mode. Set in full-screen mode, this feature shows timer information during the exam, and a red status bar will pop up if a student strays from the app. Be sure to check out the GeoGebra website for more lesson and activity ideas as well as the web-based version of this tool.Continue reading Show less
