Wowzers provided specific skill practice in math.

How I Use It

I used Wowzers as a tool when tutoring. It was a helpful and somewhat fun way to have students practice a skill I had introduced. Students enjoyed earning coins and some of the instructional videos were animated and kept students engaged. However, a few of the videos and activities were not as engaging.Each days activity is made up of a tryout, lesson, practice, aim and quiz. Some of the audio sounds bothered the kids after awhile, so they just turned down the sound. I would recommend using this a practice or remediation tool for small groups that you monitored. I found I had to back up some of the lessons with more instruction, even after the animated instructional videos for some of the students to be successful.
