How I Use It
This program has a wonderful tracking component for the teacher to use. It is a great way to follow their struggles and progress for RTI students or students with special needs. It can be used for education teacher, however, it would be important that they pick and choose the students they allowed to use the program due to the complexity of the setup. The animations are great but it takes the students a long time to set up their avatar and listen to the introduction of the program. The first introduction test is very lengthy and it is very easy for the students to loose interest students. Once into the game it is very engaging for younger students. My daughter is in 7 the grade and didn't make it past the first round of playing. Considering it is a paid program ( free trial) I feel like they need to make some changes in order to make it worth the money.
My Take
The highlight of this app is tracking the progress for each student and the options to change the content for each student. I can see where the student would enjoy making their avatar however this process takes away from the educational time that the student spends on the program. The games are cute and the information is on grade level. I think the teacher would benefit more if the setup process was easier. The spaceship thing and the create avatar is very appealing to the students however has the app continues the engagement lessons.i Do like the way the game teaches the skill and a couple of different ways so all students have a chance to learn.
