How I Use It
This is my first year using Reasoning Mind. I started the year using the program as a math supplement but changed to using it as my core curriculum after a couple of weeks. I use the program to direct the students in a way that is beneficial to the development in their math skills. I am able to tailor the program to the needs of the individual student. I am able to view the student's work in real time and monitor the progress each student makes. Based on each student's performance, I am able to intervene as needed either by a quick spot check of student's work or a planned intervention to help a struggling students.
I like this program since I am able to monitor the students as they work. The site also allows the students to progress at his/her own rate as well as encouraging them to move forward. Reasoning Mind is a challenging math program that promotes higher level thinking while developing math skills. I like how the Reasoning Mind program encourages self-motivation and discipline in helping students solve problems on their own. With the help of the Genie and his Genie solutions, the students get a clear understanding of how math works. The games, mall, and their own house are also a great incentive tool use to help keep the students on track.
