How I Use It
Our school has used Reasoning Mind in the 5th grade classroom for the last 2 years. This year we have decided to use RMCity as our core math program. The site allows the teacher to build reports adaptable to individual students needs. Screenshots enable you to monitor each student as they are working providing data for immediate interventions if necessary.
The children are actively engaged as the Genie provides positive feedback while encouraging independent learning.
Reasoning Mind is an excellent teaching tool which allows students to work, not only, independently but to help others as well.
This is a computer driven lesson which encourages Critical thinking and problem solving skill necessary for progression to the upper level grades.
I am very happy with some of the changes this year in the 5th grade Reasoning Minds program. For example, the introduction of Smarter Solving introduces problems designed specifically to the Common Core testing. Other new features allow the students to move on instead of giving the same problem missed over and over again.
Overall, I believe that this program has been beneficial to our school and our students individual needs.
