How I Use It
PBS Learning Media is a rich resource for connecting your classroom to current events and culture. It covers a broad range of topics in a range of media. You might not find the most obscure topics here but if it's happening in the world today, there's a good chance it's been covered on PBS Learning Media.
My Take
Recently colleagues have been casting about for resources to bring information on police brutality issues into the classroom. I wish I had known about PBS Learning Media at that point; I would have directed them there first. They may not cover every issue in depth, but they do offer resources on a wide variety of current and cultural issues. If it's salient to today's learners, PBS Learning Media probably has a media source about it.
