Teacher Review for Google Sites

You don't have to know code, but it's still a little "techie."

How I Use It
My students always ask when will we create a website, so I give them this. Because of the basic framework they have a website quickly, but it's not very exciting. We use it as an online portfolio; they store their work here or have links to websites we use. They like to add gadgets, so it quickly becomes a mess, but it means more ownership for them. The interface is complicated and not intuitive, students don't know where to begin to make design changes, but when they find it they love it.
My Take
You really have to dig deep and explore for a while before you can make a site that doesn't look like every other basic site online. Get a tiny url for people to use, since the URL you get from google can be cumbersome. It's not full of glitter, but if you want a quick website to call your own, this is it.
