Informative and pertinent to teens
How I Use It
I would use this as a research tool for women's health issues. It addresses some tough topics and covers them in depth. It has real life conversations from teens and girls who have the same issues. I think this might be a tough read for lower level readers and ELL students. I would also use it as a guide for sex education classes and health classes to help students understand the consequences of their actions. There is very nice section on sexuality and health and test anxiety. I would use both to help students identify strategies for overcoming issues.
This website is very informative and has some wonderful articles and blogs to help teenage woman connect with others who feel the same way. I how it is organized by subject and issue so that woman can identify and choose what it is they would like to learn more about. It would be more engaging if it had video links or additional interactive activities to allow for student learning. They do provide additional resources that may help with those connections.
