How I Use It
For six years, I only had a class set of 6 iPads and needed to find ways for my kindergarten students to create and share their voices with an authentic audience. Book Creator was my solution! My students and I fell in love with the open-ended tool that allowed them to express themselves in addition to collaborating together to create class books. We published our books weekly and students developed their identities as true authors and illustrators!
My Take
As a current K-12 Instructional Technologist in South Carolina, Book Creator is a staple in my tool belt of resources to share with teachers and students. Book Creator can be utilized in any grade level and in any content area. It allows students to express themselves with images, drawings, text, audio, shapes, and so much more. Students can collaborate together or create individual books. Teachers have the ability to create libraries to house students' work and share digitally with students, families, and those outside the school walls.
