About Me

After spending several years as a research biologist and earning a bachelor's degree from Long Island University Southampton in marine science and a master's in botany from North Carolina State University, Paul entered the teaching profession in August 2001. During his 12 years as a middle school science teacher, he earned his National Board certification and was twice selected as teacher of the year. His passions include using educational technology to enhance classroom instruction and looking at the role of assessment and grading in developing independent learners.
