How I Use It
Zimmer Twins at School is a drag and drop animation that your students can use to create stories and get across messages to their audience. It is simple to use and most learners could quickly and easily use the program with no outside instruction. You are limited in only two people to work with (Eva and Edgar) and their cat, 13. Students can use the program to create a short cartoon about most any topic. Advanced learners and older students will probably lose interest quickly as it is so easy to use and only allows drag and drop operations as opposed to total creative license.
It is a good tool to use with most students to allow them to create stories in a manner that is similar to what many experience in their gaming world. It is a good alternative to slide presentations and other printed presentations that students are frequently assessed. While there is a trial version, it is limited. The paid version with 40 learners is $9.95 per month or $49.95 for 6 months. I would suggest trying the trial version to ensure the Zimmer Twins at School fits with your classroom and students needs.
