How I Use It
I have used Zaption with my 8th grade American History class. This tool gives teachers the ability to add content to middle of online videos (such as YouTube) in the form of questions, maps, facts, etc. I have stopped a video on certain occasions and added a map so that students could connect the content with a geographic perspective. The drawing feature is perhaps one of the most under utilized features in Zaption. A teacher can stop the video and ask students to circle or draw on the screen - very useful with a map.
My Take
Zaption can help any teacher who is flipping videos for students. The teacher can see results and data from students - very helpful for a teacher who wants to see if the students are getting the correct content from the video. A teacher can create their own Zaption videos or use ones which have already been created and shared in the gallery.
