How I Use It

I use it to intro a new topic or unit, kids often are given a chance to build their own math ideas or get curious about an idea. I use it for group problem solving too. Kids do pretty well with it on their own as the lessons are scaffolded nicely, without doing too much of the thinking.

My Take

Yummymath is really useful resource. One of the hardest things for a math teachers is to show kids how they can use math. Yummymath has answered that for my students time and time again. The activities are highly engaging and well written. There is a focus on understanding concepts and problem solving, so kids usually get lot of the lessons.
