How I Use It
Wordle has a number of ways you could use it in the classroom. As a school librarian, I have had students use Wordle to set up a word cloud about a book. They choose a book, entering the title to make it the largest word(s) in the Wordle, and then add characters, setting, and other book details to create the Wordle. I have also used it as a teacher resource to create displays and every year, we use it to create our staff t-shirt with every staff members name on it.
My Take
Wordle can be a useful classroom tool. It is a format of presenting information that is visually pleasing and more creative than just typing a paper. I wish there were ways to save work, and sometimes it can be frustrating to get the layout in a way you'd like it. But the instructions are pretty straight-forward, and I've had great luck using it with 3rd-6th graders.
