How I Use It
I've used it for students to initially list all the words that describe their interactions in digital spaces. Then, they revised after our investigations. I've had students use it to analyze their writing, seeing which ideas and words pop out the most. I've seen teachers use it on the first day of school to put all students names up as welcome.
My Take
Wordle is a great easy way for my students to share what matters to them. It is a quick way for students to create a visual representation of their ideas and the relationships between them. I find it frustrating that there is no way to save the images without multiple steps, but it can be done. Sometimes getting my kids to dig deep into their thinking requires multiple drafts, which means creating two separate Wordles.
