How I Use It

Word clouds can introduce new ideas. Wordle can be used to display student brainstorming on a topic. Poetry becomes less intimidating for students when repackaged in a word cloud. Students have introduced themselves by creating word clouds. Word clouds can be used to create character summaries for novels. I have made word clouds a choice for incorporation into student projects including computer generated posters.

My Take

This easy and fun web tool for creating word clouds can be the lesson enhancement that makes a difference in engaging students. Word clouds give a different perspective on ideas and when used for impact, they engage students. This tool makes them easy to incorporate in classroom lessons and projects.
