How I Use It
I use this sight as a daily warm-up in my class. My students are instructed to do the following: 1.) Read the Wonderopolis article. 2.) Watch the video. 3.) Then read the "Have You Ever Wondered?" questions on the right side of the article. 4.) Answer at least one of the questions in the Comment section below, using evidence from the article to support your writing. *** Please include the Wonder# and the Title*** When a topic is connected to a topic we are learning then we use the extension activities to spice up our knowledge. Often times, my students use the information they have learned and share with their families.
My Take
My students thoroughly enjoy learning about random topics. As a teacher, I admire the questions that are asked, the vocabulary words, the extended learning and ways to experiment at home. It challenges my students to think critically and experiment to see if the information is true.
