How I Use It
My students upload commentary about material read, viewed or heard in our language class. Discussions may have a specific directed theme or may be free wheeling. I like the fact that when it's working right, voxopop allows students to peer listen and suggest changes and corrections to classmates. This exercise encourages civility and constructiveness and use of the target foreign language when they discuss topics
The structure and interface are fine. The abiilty to limit access to only members of a certain academic course ensures privacy, which I appreciatee. The only issue that has me looking for alternatives is the techincal problems that keep the recording from loading properly on certain computers my students use. Seems that there are Java-related and other kinds of obstacles that keep this from being seemless and trouble free.
