How I Use It

Vocaroo is a web-based recording tool. I have used Vocaroo in my Spanish classes as a way to assess speaking. Students go to the website and click record. They need a microphone--either external or internal in a laptop. After recording, students can share, email, embed, or download their recording. I have students typically email me their speaking assessments for grading. I have also used Vocaroo to record audio clips for use in projects my students create such as web sites. I have never had problems with it, nor have my students to my knowledge.

My Take

Vocaroo is the easiest web-based recording tool I've used. I like all the options for sharing and saving, and students like how simple and straight-forward it is. I can't think of any way to improve it. It does what it is supposed to do very well.
