How Can Teachers Use It?

Virtual Nerd's Algebra 2 module includes a comprehensive set of videos that teach through the use of example problems. Whiteboards are used to illustrate the problems, as instructors talk them through one step at a time. More than 500 videos are organized by topic, which include Rational Functions, Conics, Probability and Statistics, and more. To find videos listed by Common Core standard, go to the Common Core menu and click High School: Algebra. Note: Videos here aren't grouped into Algebra 1 and 2, so you'll need to sort through the resources a bit.

Most videos include a learning objective, keywords, suggested background tutorial videos, videos for further exploration, and a worksheet that summarizes the content of the video. Introduce a classroom lesson by having kids view a video in small groups or in pairs. Then reuse the video during the lesson to reinforce content. Kids can use the accompanying worksheet as an independent study guide or as a place to take notes.
