How I Use It
I often show a video to get students to think critically about a subject or to augment traditional text. This website allows me to post a video related to the content of my lesson and have students interact with the video text as they are watching it. What is invaluable to me is that it records the spot by indicating seconds or minutes into the video where the student is interacting with the video text. I can better understand their thinking, confusion, perspective.
My Take
Great addition to the tools out there to annotate texts. This allows the teacher to broaden his/her definition of text and have students not only interact with the video text, but they can interact with other students about what they say about the video text. What better way to introduce students to the art of entering into an academic conversation.
