How I Use It
After surveying my students at the beginning of the school year, I found that 3/4 of students use Twitter. I created my own account from which I post assignments, extra credit assignments, professional resources, test reminders, etc.
My Take
Twitter has become and asset in my classroom. There are many ways you can use this resource. It can be used to tweet assignments, extra credit opportunities, scholarly articles, notes from class, etc. It is an easy way to connect with students outside of the classroom to build rapport, as well as, learning about student background knowledge. It also allows you the opportunity to support your students in a positive and public way if you chose to do so.
