How I Use It
I use TodaysMeet with my 8th grade students as a "twitter substitute". I want students to practice micro-blogging, getting their thoughts down to a small number of characters, but many are hesitant about using twitter at this age. TodaysMeet offers a similar experience in a controlled room.
I really like TodaysMeet. It opens opportunities for different communications on the back end of lessons. This offers students another voice in the class that they might not have because of personality issues. The most valuable piece from this is ability to go back and read over the student's questions and thoughts to help guide my lesson planning and preparation.
