How I Use It
TodaysMeet was the tool that I chose to create a different kind of discussion environment. I wanted a place for students to ask questions during an activity/lesson. It also provided an opportunity for questions outside of the classroom while students were working independently. I used it as a place to pose thought-provoking questions and create conversations. I used it in my STOPiT class for our positive digital presence conversation. It was an awesome opportunity to model appropriate use of web - tools and discuss how valuable tools like this can be.
TodaysMeet is a great tool for creating digital conversations in the classroom. There is also potential to use such a tool to answer student questions after school hours when they are completing class work. Some may dislike the fact that posts cannot be moderated, however, it opens doors for discussions on positive digital citizenship and creating that positive digital presence.
