How I Use It
I have used Today's Meet in many different ways. I have used it as a back channel for students to share their thinking during a read aloud. I have also used it in whole class instruction for students to share examples on a wide variety of topics (ex. give a sentence that uses a preposition, tell a pattern you see on the multiplication table, etc.). I have also used it during independent work time and had students leave responses to a prompt as they work (similar to a discussion board). In math, students have used it to share their responses and thinking about a specific problem.
Today's Meet is an easy to use, quick to set up tool that can be used in a wide variety of ways, in almost any topic, and even with young students. It allows students who don't normally feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and ideas verbally with the whole class to have a voice.
