How I Use It
I use Think Through Math during Center time and as students finish classwork early. I also have students work on TTM in the Math Computer Lab. In addition, I encourage students to use TTM at home. As students complete and pass lessons, I print out certificates and fill out a Student Chart. This motivates them to try hard and work as many lessons as possible. The lessons are perfect for all my students to reach their full potential and reach individualized goals. They like and know that they can also receive extra help from a TTM teacher. I also like how I can see their reports and know what they are struggling on or are proficient in. This helps me help them better.
Since students are at different levels in Math, Think Through Math develops individualized lessons that are based on a pre-test. Some students who are more advanced arrive at lessons I haven't taught yet, but when I get to that lesson in the classroom, those students remember having that lesson on TTM and are better prepared for it. The students that might have struggled in a previous grade on a concept get a chance to learn it all over again and helps bring them up to level. All students no matter what level feel successful as they complete lessons and give them more confidence in the classroom and the subject of math.
