How I Use It
Think Through Math allows me to differentiate math curriculum for each student in an engaging, purposeful manner. Students might be working a grade ahead in math but need some review of a concept that is not making sense so, in addition to my instruction, they can practice with a few selected TTM lessons. Most important to me is that my students help one another when they get stuck. Often before I can get around to check in, a classmate who has had the same challenge will step in, reinforcing their own learning while offering assistance. Math and community skills at the same time, it is terrific when it comes together!
Think Through Math works well with kids who appreciate learning alone and challenge themselves. For social kids who would always choose a group project or task I find myself limiting their time and moving them on to other ways of learning math. I want them to be willing to put effort into the math however it is packaged so I switch it up before anything becomes mundane. I wish TTM had a two kids can work together element - it would solve my only real concern about this product.
