How I Use It
I use Think Through Math (TTM) for centers work (small groups). I also assign for homework because it's individualized and students can work at the level. I review weekly (Fridays) students progress and reward students for their progress. Students are truly motivated to work on TTM.
My overall opinion about TTM is that it's a great tool for teaching. It makes teaching Math almost effortless. It's a great way to keep students motivated. Students gain points for their efforts and these points can be used towards their Avatar or towards charitable contributions. It is truly the best program to help students take ownership of their learning and excel in Math and it’s fun.
I recommend it because it works. 100% of my students have attempted 30+ lessons. The average lessons attempted to date per student is 115. 52% of my 5th Grade students have completed the 5th Grade Pathway and are currently working on the 6th Grade Pathway. One students is currently working the 7th Grade material. 96% of the students have met their goals and are in the Think 30 Club. That’s amazing numbers. They’re motivated to go above and beyond and that’s attributed to TTM.
