How I Use It
To start every class, my students are grouped and each group has a different warm up activity for the day. One group is assigned to TTM. Students can work on the pathway assigned for the grade level, but since we were currently working on Fractions, I created a pathway specifically to review fraction skills. Through the resources available on TTM, I'm able to monitor in real time exactly how the students are progressing through each lesson and what is needed from me for continued success. I also love the student overview reports that list each lesson. It documents how much time was spent at home and how long each lesson took to complete. With this data, I can really target my students strengths and weaknesses and how I can best remediate. TTM meets every tier level in RTI strategies.
My Take
I love TTM. My students need more incentive than, "because you need it." A majority of my students are remedial. With that, most are behind. I'm able to modify pathways and target skills for each individual student from any grade level. Now, all my remedial students have work they can complete and builds on what they already know and what they need to know. The placement test also provided valuable data to use for a multitude of purposes.
