How I Use It
This is a wonderful tool to use for kids and by kids. First, you can create interactive images based on topics so that students can access them right from the picture. It could be links or even challenges. Secondly, we had students use the products to create a "day trip plan" for the 50 state tourism project. The students had to research and find at least 3 destinations that tourists can visit and they would need to google map it. Shortly after, they were required to screenshot it and upload it to thing link to create an overall image that shows the day trip of that state. It was pretty rigorous but ALL students were able to do this, some with more guidance than others. We had the kids use their google apps accounts to access their thinglink accounts. It worked smoothly!
My Take
It is a great teacher tool and student tool! I would definitely use it as a teacher tool first so that kids can navigate through it without any issues before having them make their own thinglink. I would love to have a video to show the kids about what all the features include. This would ignite their creativity!
