How I Use It
I use Electric Company games as an option during student choice time. It is a very popular game that my first graders enjoy. It provides scaffolding through video storytelling. Students love creating their own avatars to go on the missions. They are able to learn how to play as they begin by listening to the narration. Students often figure out on their own how to log in to save a game.
My Take
I think the games could be improved by asking students to use more skills as they complete the missions. Some games are more skill-based than others and do "level up" with success.
