How I Use It
I am currently using the free version for 6-8 RTI. Because I use the free version I have to do my own remediation but other than that I have the students work independently on their assignments (which I chose beforehand) but allow them to ask each other questions. The students can only ask me a question if they have used all 3 hints for that problem. When the students are finished with their assignments they can do a jam session which is skills practice or they can play a game if they have earned one (which they do after 6 completed assignments). I can then analyze their results and remediate where the premium version would.
My Take
I am a fan so far and the students are staying engaged. I can clearly see the improvement in the data. I would really like to try the premium version to see how complete of a package this site really is. My largest knock on the website is the organization of the teacher's end. I find it to be a pain in the neck to find a student's assignment because I have to remember if it is opened or closed or if I gave the assignment to multiple students or not. There are few dates on everything and the information is sometimes 3-4 clicks in. I also don't like the due date mechanic of the assignments. Giving a hard due date for me is useless but it is mandatory. The only other thing I wish was that I could see the students' assignments when they are complete. I know the site breaks down the results rather nicely but I would like to sometimes see what the specific questions they got right and wrong.
