How I Use It
I have used several clips this year in class to help start a discussion in my class - specifically The true story of Sacajawea, How is power divided in the United States government? and The Story Behind the Boston Tea Party. I have used it with my entire class as well as assign a particular video for enrichment. The additional resources also allow you to see questions on the content and ideas on how other teachers have used the video in a flipped lesson. You can also share your own flipped lesson.
My Take
TEDed is a great resource for finding engaging videos on a variety of topics. As an 8th grade American history teacher I have used several clips this year to help introduce a topic in my class. I also admit to sometimes just looking through the different videos and watching something that looks interesting in other subject areas.
