How I Use It
"Teaching Tolerance" has provided me with several lesson unit kits, free of charge. I have used these kits in conjunction with the literature units I am teaching. For example, I have used "One Survivor Remembers" at the conclusion of my "The Diary of Anne Frank" unit. I have used "The Children's March" during my "Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry" novel study. Both of these video kits were outstanding. The materials were teacher and student friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed being able to use them in my classroom easily; they were thought-provoking and engaging. I would encourage every school to take advantage of the outstanding resources that "Teaching Tolerance'" has to offer.
I love everything about "Teaching Tolerance." The resources provided on this site can be used in individual classrooms or for community building within an entire school. The website provides articles that are thought-provoking and that address situations that many teachers, nationwide, face on a daily basis. Not only does this site provide classroom resources, but it also provides schools with opportunities and ideas for worthwhile, high quality professional development.
