Neat way to get students to learn about child development by writing children's books!

How I Use It
I used this for my Parenting & Child Development students to create books to teach about the importance of reading and books for children during the toddler years. I tried to get students to create story books on paper earlier in the semester, but they had a hard time not just creating a booklet of facts. This program helped them get creative and create actual stories instead of just spitting back facts. It definitely helped them apply what they had learned.
My Take
Students do have to have an account which is fine as long as they have email and they keep up with their user name and password. The best thing is that you can start a book as the teacher and then invite students to work on the project and they can all access it from school or home. This is great in case a student is absent. The thing I didn't like about it was that students cannot add their own images. They have to use what is available on the site. Some of my students would have like to have uploaded their own illustrations. I can't wait to use this in other classes.
