How I Use It
Stormboard is an interactive whiteboard. A place where students and teachers can collaborate. It is easy to you and if a student can double click, they are able to participate. The only downfall is that each participant has to have a stormboard account, so all fo the students would have to register. This of course would take more time the first time using it in class. They offer an educational license that is free until December 31, 2016, but it doesn't allow you to use all of the features. The only thing that I would change is when adding a picture to the stickies, the user must have the picture saved on the device or dropbox. I would love to be able to do a search for a picture or copy and paste. Videos are easy though and you are able to search and easily add.
My Take
I think this is a great tool. I like how easy it is to use and that they have a free educational license. It provides a collaborative space that students can add to, regardless of space or time. This would be a great tool to use with multiple classes or schools. Keep in mind that this tool is only as useful as you make it. It would be great in a constructivist classroom, but it will require you to set some guidelines as far as what is appropriate to post, how to use the chat...etc.
