How I Use It
Starfall is primarily used in our computer lab, but after teachers have seen the many components I hear that many are using it during classroom instruction to introduce the letters, read a book from its library, practice blending and rhyming with the Word Machine, introduce the concept of subtraction. Starfall's Subtraction within 10 or 20 is the best illustration I have seen for helping a youngster with the concept of take away.
My Take
From the first time I introduced Starfall to my students several years ago my high regard for this website has not wavered. Every year I look forward to my kindergarteners first exposure to it, and am impressed with how they keep coming back to it even as third graders. The language arts is very strong especially with the addition of More Starfall. I understand that more math is coming in the future.
