How I Use It
I would not use this site as a primary source for children. I see this resource as a supplement to support other curriculum.
For the young child (pre-K) who already knows their letters, ABC's and the sounds, the learning to read feature will keep the advanced, active learner engaged. For a child that is academically behind and needs reinforcement, this is great tool to learn letter sounds, letter identification and beginning reading. This website is geared to pre-k through first grade, I would not find the value in leaving a child unattended to navigate the computer. I would suggest for a teacher aid to work with this child during the classroom time, or for this website to be used at home as a one on one tool for learning.
