Teacher Review For Socrative

Great when you don't have to do formal assessments or give grades! I call it a game show!

How I Use It
As a School Library Media Specialist, I only see the kids once a week on average. I want to assess them, but we don't give grades. I need something to know what skills I need to teach. I treat it like a game show, with prizes for the top winners. I tell them there is no stress, it doesn't count as a grade, which helps to alleviate some stress for students. It allows for different types of questions, and I can insert pictures, graphs, text, etc.
My Take
I really like this tool. Today, I spoke with the people who work with Secretive, and they are moving to aligning questions to state and national standards, which will help make this tool more valuable. Additionally, one of the things that used to irk me was that students would get lost out and have to "re-load" all the time and they would miss questions. There is a new feature which allows you to click if something is not loading without having to re-enter information.
