How I Use It
After completing a research project in Social Studies, students presented information on their topic by creating Smore flyers. Students were able to break down their thesis in creative ways and share with classmates. Students were excited to work with Smore. It was pretty intuitive. Students added video, buttons, audio, images and of course text to their flyers. Students then embedded their flyer so that others students could learn from others.
It would have been nice if students could collaborate and collectively work on a flyer for group projects.
Smore is an easy to use digital poster/flyer creator that has a lot of options to create and personalize content. It is great to present material and to have students create, share and publish their work.
Terms of Service require users to be at least 13 years old (unless you are using the Educational Pro account). The default settings make flyers public and contact information public. It took some time to edit flyer settings to private and to not display contact information. I wish this process was more intuitive.
